5 Tips to Lose Weight That Don’t Involve Going to the Gym

TFT was primarily a fitness business.

But we realized that most people coming to us needed help losing weight.

We’ve decided to focus our efforts on helping people lose weight.

We’ve seen a lot of successes and a lot of struggles.

Because of my background in wrestling, I have a lot of personal experience with weight loss; both healthy and unhealthy.

With all that I’ve seen and done in the weight loss world, I wanted to share 5 strategies to help lose weight the healthy way.

  1. Ask yourself why
    Why is losing weight important to you? Go beyond the cosmetic aspect of it, and really get to the root of your desire to shed extra pounds. Deep, internal motivations are very powerful in propelling you forward.

  2.  Be realistic with yourself

    Losing weight the healthy way takes time. If you don’t see results right away, don’t give up. Hard, consistent work pays dividends. You just have to give it the proper amount of time.

  3. Eat better
    This one should be obvious, but so many people lack in this area. Stay away from the processed crap. Learn to cook for yourself. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Make the effort and it will pay off.

  4. Get active
    Eating right and working out is a great start, but what about the rest of your lifestyle? Take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. Park far away from the store. Take a walk. Go for a hike on the weekends. Any extra movement helps burn calories. How can you increase your physical activity during the day?

  5. Change how you think about weight loss
    The changes you make to lose weight shouldn’t be temporary. Think of it as a lifestyle change. Setbacks are inevitable, but you don’t have to give in to them. Right the ship when you get off track and continue on your journey. You’re trying to change the way you live and think. It’s not going to happen all at once. Stick to a healthy lifestyle and the results will follow.
